“I resolve to lose 25 pounds in 2016.”
“I resolve to eat less carbohydrates as a percentage of my overall diet in 2016.”
“I resolve to make my company’s website a magnet for conversion in 2016?”
That last one is not a normal New Year’s Resolution, but it should be.
Every year, around New Year’s Day, millions of Americans make resolutions.
Businesses might not make actual New Year’s Resolutions, but business owners often dedicate part of the budget to ensure that money exists for new tools, training, and maintenance. In a sense, this is a different way of making a resolution (committing to a plan of improvement).
And this planning often includes planning for new technology and support. Owners often make sure everyone has a new computer, that the brick and mortar location has the best connectivity, and that the employees are up to date on the latest products, but do they plan for annually optimizing and modernizing the company website?
If most owners don’t resolve to do the annual work necessary to make sure they have a great website, they probably should. The first contact many customers have with a business these days is usually with the website, and this first contact is almost always made first on a mobile phone.
People’s expectations of business websites have become increasingly sophisticated as mobile devices and the mobile web improves by leaps and bounds every year. Customers learn to expect a certain level of digital service.
And there are also constant changes in how people find websites in the first place that have to be accounted for (as Google’s algorithms get more sophisticated every year).
So, have you made a resolution to offer the best possible website experience for your customers in 2016?
Ring Ring Marketing is here to help you understand what you will need to do to make your site the best it can be in 2016 and beyond!
